Do I need to have a consultation before scheduling an appointment?
A consultation is not required before scheduling salon services. All in-salon appointments include a complimentary consultation.
But, a consultation can be a great way to learn more about us, our approach and recommendations before you book an appointment. You can schedule a consultation for $65.
How should I prepare for my first curly cut appointment with you?
If this is your first curly haircut with us, please come in with detangled tresses and expect to be with us for two hours. Your hair should reflect its curl pattern and not be more than two days old. A detangled canvas allows us to provide a thorough consultation and create a master plan to reach your curly goals!
What are your recommendations for curly hair maintenance?
If you’re going to STrUT with us, we ask that you embrace this curly hair life! Yes, it is truly a lifestyle! (Psst! A true curly girl hair cut may not translate to straightened hair – capisce?!) Maintenance is the only way to keep your hair spring’n, summer’n, fall’n and winter’n into its STrUT. We offer a variety of hair care products that are perfect for curly hair. And, of course, keeping a healthy long-term regimen includes future appointments on our calendar!
Do you also cut and color straight and wavy hair?
Absolutely! While many clients come to us for our curly hair expertise, we pride ourselves in our skills in cutting all hair textures. No two heads are alike. We get excited about learning the patterns of different tresses and helping uncover a style that will leave you feeling confident.
What is color correction and how does it work?
Sometimes your hair color is just plain wrong. Maybe you resorted to a box dye while the salons were closed. Or maybe that bold red has grown out to a faded orange. We can help with color correction.
We’ll meet for a consultation, so we can get a sense of the condition of your hair and develop a plan for evolving your hair back to a color you feel confident in. The color correction process may take one or more appointments to get to your desired color.
